Spanky Payne was born April 17th 1981 in Rutland Vermont,USA. Under his real name John. To the parents of John and Virginia. Since then he has been in tons of bands, magazines, making
videos and doing his photos. Spanky joined his first band right after his 16th Birthday with a band that played for his birthday party. The Band was Caution that started in 1996, Spanky joined the
band as a bass player in 1997. Spanky joined Caution with members Skot Skullfukkr and SoulBurn. Right after they added Spanky Payne they also added Josh Meighan and Kyle L'Esperance. Half way into
Caution, Spanky Payne and Skot had a side project called "Erection". We wrote two songs, "Chastities"
and "Demonic Pornography". The Erection didn't last long. Caution broke up one odd night when SoulBurn
quit. The rest of Caution, minus Kyle, took in Mike Jokinen to form "Flail Chest". At the first show, no one showed up Spanky and Skot. Make a long story short Flail Chest broke up. Skot had a band called Morpheus that he was doing mixing fucked up sounds and samples with a couple acoustic songs about Necrophillia. Skot asked Spanky to join him and make a real band out of it.. So Morpheus started in
1997.. There will be more about Morpheus on Morpheus pages. In the mean time of Morpheus, Skot and Spanky started a magazine called Hatezine. Got a lot of people into it even the F.B.I. Which made school life hell for Spanky.. He was escorted by the cops and his mom because of the sells and stories of the magazine. Hatezine ended after seven issues of Skot and Spanky making it.. Then Spanky started making his own magazine called "Spanky's Music Zine" Sold out every issue in 2000. But like everything else it ended because cost of printing.. This magazine lasted two issues. In the mean time of all this Morpheus was taking a break so Spanky recorded a few songs with the band "Twisted Chaos" and shorty after that Spanky worked with a band called the "Nyte Owlz" which was aired on Z-Cuts on Z-97 of Rutland, Vermont. Then also at the same time Spanky and Rob the Dead (member of Morpheus) started a band called
Psychotic Assault which was doing pretty good, Spanky left the band because of some issues with the band members. Spanky played drums and guitar for them, pretty much the whole time with a broken arm.

Then Morpheus came back with a bang. Playing tons of shows.. Spanky then started planning Punk in the Park.. Punk in the Park was already going on for two years in Rutland, Vermont and Spanky wanted to see it go on.. Punk in the Park started in 2001 and ended in 2005. Punk in the Park 2003 to 2005 was booked by Spanky.. Then Morpheus broke up again, in 2006. They wanted to get back together but Skot didn't wanna play shows anymore.. It was a sad day for Morpheus fans and Spanky. Ever since Spanky has been looking for a band to full the space of Morpheus in his heart.
Spanky then got bad into the drugs and started fucking up.. He was in and out of jail and being arrest from Burning a flag and Pissing on G.G. Allin's Grave to a 15 year old Girl almost dying at this place on 107 Granger St in Rutland, Vermont.. When he was put on House Arrest in 2004 at his parents house in the woods of Vermont. When he got off house arrest he was told to take over his Step Grandfathers Junk Yard in Grafton Vermont. It was called Grafton Auto Salvage, later turned to Grafton Metals and Salvage, Inc. Spanky ran it 2004 til 2008. Right now closed down for the winter and not sure if
it will be opening next year.. While running the Junk Yard Spanky got back in to making his magazines and his videos that he loved to do.. The Magazine that he started was "Twisted Press" it has one issue out and one was in the making but printing cost sucks. Spanky also started doing reviews for a magazine called "Verbicide". Also is doing videos for you tube. Spanky has also started a band that was about to be in the works but never worked, called "Sylvania".

Spanky also became a daddy on August 23, 2009 with his wife Amanda (Manda Payne) to a perfect son Presley John (Presley Payne).
Mean while Morpheus decided to get back together, there is nothing new out yet.  Spanky and Skot got to talking about old Morpheus songs and the subject about get back together got talked about. Then Rob the dead was called what he thought about Morpheus getting back together and he was like Hell Fucking Yes. There will be a more a future with Morpheus soon. UPDATE!!  THE MORPHEUS GETTING BACK TOGETHER ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN.
